The Prattville Varsity Boys opened the season strong with a 5-1 victory over the Elmore High School Panthers. Collin Rogers opened the scoring in the first half before the Panthers grabbed an equalizer late in the half to make it 1-1 going into the second period. The Lions took the lead for good in the second half and pulled away with three late goals. Collin Rogers added a second goal and Kaden Gazell, Daniel Sigler, and Jeremiah Parrot rounded out the scoring. The defense was anchored by a strong performance from senior center back Colin Salle. The Lions hit the road Tuesday night to play the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies.
